The global financial downturn has not deterred the business of filmmaking, with Hollywood still attracting international talent in Australian writer and director, Peter T Nathan.

Peter’s latest film project entitled, “Tomboy,” is gaining attention from key Hollywood players. His manager, Denise Barrett, is currently working on several options. Denise says, “Peter’s skills as a storyteller are exceptional. He has a great body of work behind him and I look forward to seeing this project turn into a reality.”

His work is best described as a style that exposes the vulnerability and tenderness of the human psyche. In all his work, he aims to challenge audiences of all ages and engage them in thought-provoking drama.

After an expansive career as a 1st Assistant Director, many credits for International films and award winning Australian drama, Peter’s first role as director led to an AFI nomination with the film “Home and Away.” This most popular long running Australian soap was also the launch pad for other top tier talent: Melissa George, Isla Fisher, Isabel Lucas, Ryan Kwanten and the late Heath Ledger. He also travelled to New Zealand worked on another top Drama Series, “Shortland Street,” and later, “The Tribe (UK).”

In 2006 he won Best Director at the Noosa Film Festival, Australia.

Peter’s recent arrival to Los Angeles just goes to show there is always a time for true talent. Peter T. Nathan is definitely one of the People You Should Know.
