May 2025- Welcome to the Entertainment Revolution.

The Hollywood you knew is gone—and what’s replacing it is wilder, smarter, and more connected than ever. From AI-powered performances to TikTok-born A-listers, AI is reshaping the industry in 2025.

Here are five trends that are happening in 2025.

1.AI Stars Are Here—and Fans Are Obsessed

Remember when deep fakes were controversial? Now, AI-generated characters such as AI Fusions BR, which has 19 million likes and 1.8 million followers on TikTok and virtual pop stars like Hatsune Miku, have millions of followers—and real-life brand deals. Some studios are even casting AI co-stars alongside human leads. Is it creepy or cool? Either way, it’s happening.

Will pop music as we know it destined for replacement by AI generated pop artists?

Don’t think for a moment the Black community won’t be affected by the artificial intelligence trends of AI pop stars.

A virtual rapper, FN Meka, who was signed to Capitol Records, had 9 million followers and over a billion views on TikTok. Capitol Records dropped FN Meka because it stirred up controversy, but Factory New, a record company that exclusively had virtual artists, signed the robot to its label. Brandon Le, the creator of FN Meka and Anthony Martini, the co-founder of Factory New, a record label created for virtual artists, created the character, “though neither of Factory New’s co-founders,” “are Black,” according to Vice, an entertainment website. FN Meka was a mess, filled with stereotypes about rappers, including use of the N-word, but had 35 million followers on Instagram. Quite a buzz for an AI character.

Trending: Netflix is using AI, really.

  1. TikTok to Red Carpet: Gen Z Celebs Are Bypassing Hollywood

Netflix dramas, such as “Ex_Machina” and “The Social Dilemma,” are entirely AI movies, inspired by TikTok posts. And Hollywood casting directors are taking notice, watching social media as much as casting reels. Gen Z celebrities, such as Timothée Chalamet, Jenna Ortega, Marsai Martin, Zendaya Coleman and social media influencers, such as Kylie Jenner, Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Logan Paul and of course Kim Kardashian, are making a significant impact, without depending on traditional Hollywood channels for widespread success.

Tip: If you want to be discovered, post that monologue or dance routine. Hollywood is scrolling.

  1. Reality TV Is More Unfiltered—and More Addictive

From Hulu’s “Court Cam,” to “Throuple Trouble,” which can be viewed on YouTube, unscripted TV is pushing boundaries like never before. The formula? Raw emotion, messiness, and social media integration. Viewers aren’t just watching—they’re influencing plotlines in real-time.

  1. Concerts Are Going Digital—and Global 🌍🎧

Virtual concerts in the metaverse are booming. Stars like Doja Cat, BTS, and The Weeknd are performing in immersive worlds with fans attending from their couches (VR headset optional). These events are turning into massive, profitable spectacles—no stadium required.

🎤 Flash Fact: Travis Scott’s metaverse concert, within the game Fortnite in 2024 pulled 90 million views. Expect even bigger in 2025.

  1. Nostalgia Reboots… But Make It Dark 🌒📼

From the gritty Powerpuff Girls reboot to the horror take on Saved By the Bell, nostalgia is no longer feel-good—it’s edgy, twisted, and viral. Gen Z wants their childhood shows, but with trauma, TikTok drama, and a touch of Euphoria.

Entertainment will be going through dramatic changes and the entertainment revolution is here, whether we like it or not. Will the revolution be televised? Possibly. But social media and AI technology will give a new meaning to the Gil Scott Heron phrase “televised.” The AI revolution is moving entertainment at the speed of light.
