LOS ANGELES CA – Shavon Khaalidah Luckey was crowned Little Miss African American 2012 at the 19th Annual Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant held at the Wilshire –Ebell Theatre. Other Awardees include First Runner –up Ashli Carter, Second Runner-up Micayla Moffitt, and Third Runner-up Mariah Victorious Hall. Dawnn Lewis and Obba Babatunde hosted the scholarship/talent program presenting young ladies, ages 6-12 years old, showcasing their confidence, cultural awareness, and self pride. Judges included James Pickens Jr. and Chandra Wilson (Grey’s Anatomy), Laila Ali (World Boxing Champion), Dawnn Lewis and Roz Ryan (outstanding actresses), Debra Byrd (American Idol Vocal Arranger), Linda Stokes (designer & creator of LSO & TuTu Cute), Attorney Excell Sharriff, and Marcus Paulk (star of Moesha & Red Tails).
