Natalia Bilbao has always been an actress. Even as a young tennis star, excelling as the runner up at the Euskadi Junior championship in Northern Spain, Natalia loved to entertain audiences with her aggressive play on the court. “My tennis was pretty spectacular to watch,” said Natalia Bilbao. “I’m such a performer, that for me, it was all about the show. It was more important for me to give a good performance for the audience.”
Indeed, with her natural proclivity for entertaining, Natalia is destined to serve up a great career in Hollywood. The stunning actress from Bilbao, Spain already has quite an impressive resume, serving aces in English and Spanish productions including “25 Minutes,” “Una Experiecía Diferente,” “The Dark Valley,” and “The Mars Conspiracies,” a TV series that is currently in production. She is also in demand as a host, but she admits it was a career path that was entirely by accident. “I was in this theater play when I was starting out,” said Natalia Bilbao, “and the producer had this online magazine and she did interviews with celebrities and said, ‘have you ever thought about being a reporter/interviewer?’ I was like sure!”
Natalia has also excelled as an interviewer. She has interviewed many subjects, including celebrities, but one interview stands out. “I interviewed a DP (director of photography) who was blind,” she said. “There was a documentary about him being the DP for a feature film and how he works as a DP being blind, which is insane. He was the sweetest, smartest guy and it was fascinating to listen to him talk about his craft.” She has covered news in Lancaster and worked for Univision, covering traditional Spanish festivities.

At the age of three, her parents enrolled Natalia and her brother in a British school to learn English. “You graduate high school being completely bilingual in Spanish and English,” she explained. However, her desire to speak English her way caused considerable consternation from her professors. “My original accent was British, obviously, but then, I thought Americans sounded cooler,” she laughed. “I would show up to class with a very strong American accent at first and my teachers were really mad because they were British. They would ask, ‘why are you speaking like an American?’ I said, ‘I like the accent better.’”
Performing has always been in her blood from a very young age. A natural entertainer, she enjoyed wowing her family. “When I was very young, I loved singing, performing in front of people and storytelling and I loved being the entertainer,” said the lovely actress. “I played the saxophone briefly for a year, because I loved The Simpsons, and my favorite character the one I idolized was Lisa Simpson, and she played the saxophone- I want to be like Lisa.”
She demonstrated considerable talent as a young tennis player and her skills led her to a promising tennis career. “I played around Europe,” said the master tennis player, “I would go to Italy, I played in Croatia, the U.K., Germany and in Spain. It was a great time, it was hard, but the greatest thing was is that it showed me that you have to have discipline and resilience. If I hadn’t played tennis, I wouldn’t be an actress, I would have given up a long time ago.”

As a model, she once had a gig with one of the biggest musical icons in music history, Bob Dylan. “It was a photo shoot for Rolling Stone Magazine, and they needed models,” she said. “He shows up wearing a hoodie and he was super shy. I treated him like Uncle Bob, he’s just a dude. Him and I engaged in a gazing battle and I was joking with him and he was so comfortable with me he did magic tricks with me. It was so much fun.”
