Los Angeles County, CA: September 2nd, 2025 – Envision Youth Services, Inc., is excited to announce the launch of three new programs supporting youth 10-17 years and young adults ages 18–25, designed to strengthen mental health, resilience, and life skills.

The programs provide critical resources for young people with limited access to supportive services, including those impacted by trauma, social justice challenges, and substance use disorders.

Programs include:

  • Mental Health Through Culinary Arts (ages 10–17), in partnership with I’NJoy Catering: 12-week hands-on culinary training paired with mindfulness and mental health education.
  • Mental Health Through Music Development (ages 13–25), in partnership with Raw Suga Shack Studios: 12-week program blending songwriting, recording, and performance with emotional wellness tools.

Playbook for the Mind: Mental Resilience for Athletes (ages 13–25), in partnership with L.A. Watts Summer Games: 12-week series teaching coping strategies for stress, identity challenges, and injury recovery.

Programs are now open for registration, with the next cohort beginning October 2025.

The programs, under the roof of Envision Youth Services, is spearheaded by Kamelah Clark, the Executive Director. Envision Youth Services, Inc., is a non-profit dedicated to supporting youth and young adults impacted by trauma, social injustice, and mental health challenges. Inspired by her mother, an educator, and her father, a self-taught musician, Kamelah combines advocacy, creative expression, and lived experience to empower young people through safe, healing-centered spaces. With over 25 years of experience in trauma-informed care and community advocacy, Kamelah has worked in residential crisis facilities, psychiatric hospitals, social justice initiatives, and gang prevention programs. Kamelah holds a Licensed Program Administrator certification, is a Professional Crisis Management Instructor, and a Professional Creative Writer, as well as a certified Mindfulness-Based Strategic Awareness Training (MBSAT) Facilitator. She has received recognition from the Cities of Long Beach, Compton, and Los Angeles, as well as local media, for her work in youth advocacy and mental health.

Beyond her professional work, Kamelah is a devoted mother, woman of faith, and creative storyteller producing a docuseries on mental health, music, and art as tools for healing. Her mission is simple yet powerful: “Impact the lives of young people without a voice—without judgment—through mental health, music, and art.”
