Halle Berry has been an avid supporter of the Jenesse Center for many years.  The Jenesse Center provides various support services and housing to victims of domestic violence.  This year, Ms. Berry funded two of the fifteen apartment remodels.  Inspired by her daughter Nahla, she named the first apartment Nahla’s World.   Nahla’s World has an apparel boutique where children can get clothing. Other areas are designed for playing games, having parties, reading, doing art projects, and therapy is provided when needed.   A second apartment was completely gutted and remodeled to be used by a family in need.  Designers Lindsay Jackson, Patrick Delanty, and David Brian Sanders are devoting their expertise to renovating the shelter apartments.  All apartments are being named after historic women achievers, who have displayed strength in defeating life’s challenges and adversity. Some examples include women like Lena Horne, Eartha Kitt, and Josephine Baker.   Each of these women in the “What A Little Love Can Do Project” are artistically portrayed by Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Lena Horne), Taraji P. Henson (Eartha Kitt), and Wendy Raquel Robinson (Josephine Baker) during the Silver Rose Gala & Auction held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.  Jamie Foxx was the event emcee with a special performance from singer/songwriter Robin Thicke.
