A Renaissance Man Devoted to Helping Others

Dr. Moshe Lewis is one of those renaissance men you love to know. Humble and kind, with a spirit that is unmatched, Dr. Lewis is a Sports Medicine and Rehab Physician. His focus of care is helping patients deal with aging and injury by decreasing disability, regaining flexibility, and building strength. This helps people to get back to work and to enjoy healthy, productive lives.

However, Dr. Moshe Lewis has a TV show, a YouTube sensation called “Music and Medicine,” in which he displays his devotion to helping others and interviewing the biggest of celebrities.

The Music and Medicine show explores the intersection between music and healthcare, highlighting the therapeutic benefits of music and its impact on health and well-being. Dr. Moshe Lewis serves as the host where legendary musicians, songwriters, and producers as well as up-and-coming artists, deconstruct their musical backgrounds and sound while also tackling health issues that matter to them. Guests have included Jasmine Guy,  Siedah Garrett, Dionne Warwick, Miki Howard, Gerald Albright, After 7, Mindi Abair, Eric Bellinger, Michael Colyar, Bill Bellamy, Tweet From NEXT, After 7, the late Louis Gossett Jr, Andrew Young and yours truly, Buddy Sampson.

The scholar has completed his undergraduate work at Cornell University. He did post-baccalaureate studies at Harvard University and has a Master’s in Public Health from New York University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and graduated from Mount Sinai School Of Medicine in  New York, doing his residency at Tuft University in Boston.

On one of his recent shows, I was invited to see the amazing group Klymaxx, who simply killed it on his show. I wish all of you could have been at the taping of the show, to see all the fun things going on in between the songs. At the taping was Kathleen Bradley-Redd, who has co-hosted several of the shows. Also attending was percussionist Victor Orlando, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and recording artist Felton Pilate.
