Clippers Finalize Trade With Hawks

The Los Angeles Clippers today announced that they have sent forward Antawn Jamison to the Atlanta Hawks for the draft rights to Cenk Akyol, a 2005 second round selection by the Hawks.
Jamison, 37, appeared in 22 games for the Clippers and averaged 3.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.4 steals in 11.4 minutes per game. Jamison scored his 20,000th point this season, making him one of only 20 players to have at least 20,000 points, 8,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists in NBA history. For his career, Jamison has appeared in 1083 games (864 starts) with averages of 18.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 34.8 minutes.
Akyol, 26, was originally drafted by the Hawks with the 59th overall selection in the second round of the 2005 NBA Draft. The 6’6” guard from Turkey is a member of Galatasaray Liv Hospital of the Turkish Basketball League and has averages of 6.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 21.0 minutes per game.
