BET 14th Annual Celebration of Gospel Has New Host

ORPHEUM THEATER Los Angeles CA – After 13 years, Steve Harvey (aka King of Comedy) relinquished hosting BET’s Annual Celebration of Gospel. Oscar nominated Actress Taraji P. Henson takes over as the new host of the iconic telecast. As always, this celebration continues the tradition of spirited, riveting performances from the gospel and secular musical universe. Duets are performed by Chante Moore and Vashawn Mitchell; Lalah Hathaway and Zacardi Cortez; Donnie McClurkin and Tye Tribbett; India.Arie and Jonathan McReynolds and trio Ruben Studdard, LeAndria Johnson and Kem, who definite soul stirrers. Pastor Shirley Caesar and Dr. Bobby Jones perform a powerful spoken word and Charlie Wilson shares his testimony in his song “If I Believe.”
Tamela Mann, Erica Campbell, Yolanda Adams, Hezekiah Walker, Detrick Haddon, J. J. Hairston, Tasha Page-Lockhart, Candice Glover, The Rance Allen Group and many more light up the gospel stage with outstanding performances.
