Richie Onori has his ships sailing through difficult waters. With America as divided as ever, Ritchie Onori is on a quest of unity and love, uniting different factions with the magic of music- to generate unity, peace and freedom.

On October 26th, 2024, at Warner Valley Cultural Center, in Woodland Hills, California, in Los Angeles, Richie Onori is spearheading the inaugural “Unity, Peace & Freedom Festival,” a groundbreaking music concert and community event, embracing youth empowerment. But where did the idea for the groundbreaking concert start?

“I had a spiritual download in 1989,” said Ritchie Onori. “Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve been on a mission. I had already done a rock opera with my vision. I was in Palm Springs, up in the desert. It was kind of biblical, so to speak. And the day after it, I wrote everything out. I’ve been at this for many years, for what’s culminating in Woodland Hills right now.”

Richie Onori, the last connection to the rock band, “The Sweet,” recently performed to an enthusiastic audience at the Canyon Club. The band was fun and engaging. Most in the almost sold-out audience were on their feet, singing along with The Sweet’s greatest hits. However, the set belonged to Richie Onori, who did an amazing drum solo near the end of the set that drove the audience to a frenzy.

The Canyon Club show was a preview of sorts for the August 26th concert, sponsored by Maserati and Alfa Romeo and Volvo of Santa Monica that will feature the Multi-Platinum Group The Sweet: Performing hits like “Ballroom Blitz,” “Fox on the Run,” “Little Willy,” and “Love is Like Oxygen; ” Think X – Music Exploration of Pink Floyd: Featuring Scott Page (Pink Floyd, Toto);  Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction);  Norwood Fisher (Fishbone);  Kenny Olson (Legendary Guitarist);  Roberta Freeman (Guns N’ Roses);  Derek Day (Classless Act) and Will Champlin (One Direction).

Also scheduled to perform on the concert is The Main Ingredient, performing “Everybody Plays the Fool”, “Just Don’t Want to be Lonely”;  Iron Butterfly: Known for “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” and “Easy Rider”;  Tierra-Legacy: Performing “Together” and “Vamanos Pa Monte”;  Micki Free: Grammy & 5-time Nammy Winner, with Apache and Comanche Tribal Dancers; The Blues Angel & The Freedom Band: Fronted by Richie Onori, featuring an all-star lineup;  Raven: Formerly of Redbone, performing “Come & Get Your Love”;  and a Celebrity Funk, R&B Soul & Pop jam- surprise guests to be announced.

Richie Onori heads PFANA (People For A New America) and his hope is to change hearts and minds through love.

“In a world increasingly divided by race, religion, and politics, PFANA seeks to bridge these gaps through the universal language of music, humor, and the power of love and community,” according to their press release.  “This family-friendly event will feature live musical performances, guest speakers, sports celebrities, local food vendors, a holiday boutique, and youth empowerment groups. The festival will also include an interfaith prayer vigil, including a Gospel Youth Choir performance. The evening will culminate with an all-star musical jam featuring some of the biggest names in the music industry that you won’t want to miss.”
