The Real Estate Guru Has That “It”

There are those people you meet in your lifetime that have that “it.” You know they have it, because when they walk into a room, people gravitate towards them; they exude confidence, charisma, charm, style and they’ve never met a stranger.  Chad Goldwasser has that “it,” those qualities that extremely talented people have, who excel in any environment. And before he leaves any scene, any venue, any location on earth, Chad leaves having made tons of new friends, one of the keys to his success.

Chad Goldwasser, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota is a successful real estate broker and influencer that recently found his home in Los Angeles. The real estate veteran has sold hundreds of properties in Texas and is now expanding his real estate network to include selling properties in Beverly Hills, Brentwood and Los Angeles.  But how did the successful real estate broker get his start?

His story is one of perseverance and resilience.

He had a turbulent childhood, having to figure out life’s journey, often on his own. His parents divorced when he was five, and he later discovered his father got involved with an unscrupulous banker, which got his dad sent to prison. “They got busted for that, and they said ‘your dad is going to jail for this,’” said Chad Goldwasser. “Three years later, he got convicted and went to a medical prison in Missouri, because he had dialysis. I was 14 years old. Six months later, they told us that he has a heart problem and that he has about two years to live. Three months later, he got out of prison, so he could spend his last years with us. Two weeks later, he died. I look at things now, that everything is a lesson, that was preparing me for this moment.”

Later, at 22, he relocated to Austin, Texas and worked as a bartender. While working serving drinks, he had an epiphany, and decided to invest in real estate. “I took classes, deciding to invest in real estate and gain wealth and told my wife that I was going to get my real estate license,” said Chad. “I sat in those classes and I looked around at those people that were going to be selling real estate and said ‘if they can do it, I can surely do this.’ Real estate is the best thing that ever happened to me. I felt I can make money and be in charge of my own schedule.” He found a mentor in Austin, the number one agent in Austin, that took him under his wing and gave him a book that changed his life. In Chad’s first full year in real estate, Chad sold 67 homes, breaking barriers he never thought possible.

He went from making $2.17 an hour as a bartender to consistently earning $20,000 a month “Nine years later, I was number one in the world for Keller Williams and ranked number 42 in real estate agents in the world, ranked by The Wall Street Journal,” he said. “I did $125 million at that time, making 543 deals in one year with my team.” At the age of 31, he moved his team from RE/MAX to Keller Williams. He set a goal to break $100 million in real estate sales. Within two years, Goldwasser walked across the stage at the Keller Williams national awards event as the top agent worldwide for Keller Williams Realty with 543 sales and $123 million in sales volume. In November 2008, Goldwasser left Keller Williams and formed his own independent brokerage, Goldwasser Real Estate.  In 2014, Chad proudly announced his new brokerage and company name, Pure Gold Realty.

Chad remains active in the real estate division while working to develop other aspects of the company, mainly his motivational speaking career. Chad’s teaching and training business is designed to educate and inspire others to follow their own dreams and realize their own potential, just as he has. Recognized as a dynamic, experienced, and sought-after public speaker who motivates and enriches lives through his talks about attitude, leadership, and personal growth, Chad is also making his mark in literary circles. His first book, “Some Assembly Required: A Networking Guide for Real Estate Professionals,” (with Thom Singer) was published in 2009.

However, Chad Goldwasser’s moment for ever bigger success has arrived. Recently, he moved to Los Angeles, exploring the lucrative California real estate market. With his innate sense of business and networking, in the short time Chad has lived in Los Angeles, a mere two months, the entrepreneur and real estate guru has begun to make his mark in one of the entertainment meccas of the world. “God had me see things, God had me do things, I went through things to get me stronger. God has me serving people and loving people that most people don’t love. I want to bring a message to the world of positivity and energy and faith and belief.”   Chad has devoted his life to leadership, teaching, training, and speaking, and has attended numerous classes and courses on the subject including four years of the prestigious Exchange hosted by John Maxwell.
