YouTube, Instagram and social media have many sensations, but few as unique as make up sensation Sasha Anne, who is blowing up the social media sphere with her current beauty line, “Sugar & Spice Nail Polish Collection by Sasha Anne™.”

But how did youthful star begin her ascent into the world of makeup and cosmetics? “I’ve always had a love for makeup and enhancing features,” said Sasha Anne. “I think it’s so cool that make up can do that for someone. It’s all about the technique and the right products that you have. It’s just very satisfying for me and very therapeutic, so I thought it would be cool to start a company, with little lip glosses that you can fit in your purse or pocket and take it on the go.”

Sasha Anne’s company has exploded with success. The YouTube sensation’s lip glosses sold out, and currently, she has a whopping 1.5 million combined views on YouTube and 31.4K viewers on Instagram. “I started with the lip gloss in high school just as like a project and then it took off and I got a lot of press for it,” Sasha Anne explained. “After that sold out it was like, hmm, what do I do next?”

Sasha Anne, who was born in New York, has fond memories from her childhood. “In my neighborhood, everything is like, go, go, go,” she said. ” When I was little, I just saw myself as a small, shy, little girl living in a big city, so it was very overwhelming for me. But now, I’m like, you know what, I’m going to take it on- I’m going to embrace the big city and make it my backdrop. I love it.”

The resilience of this remarkable young lady reaches no bounds. She also had to overcome a stubborn problem, dyslexia. “The middle school I went to helped me with my speech,” said the makeup artist, beauty influencer and entrepreneur, who was recognized with a prestigious honor, The Shorty Awards. “I became a better writer and a better reader.”   She has also overcome recently, a bout with lymphoma cancer, lymphoma, and the resilient, courageous lady has made tremendous progress. “I was going to chemo,” said the young sensation, who recently received fantastic news. ” I did finish some weeks ago, but I’m cancer free.”

A few of the YouTube/Make up sensations that she’s looked up to include Nikkie Tutorials and Jaclyn Hill, but the young and talented beauty guru insists that she wants to forge her own path in the burgeoning social media make up industry. “It’s definitely great being inspired by people, “said Sasha Anne, “but I’m going on my own path and doing my own thing.”

Indeed, Sasha Anne’s new line of products, “Sugar & Spice Nail Polish Collection by Sasha Anne™” indicates an originality that is uniquely hers, appealing to young and older consumers alike. “I knew I wanted to call it ‘Sugar & Spice’ because when I was in middle school, I was very shy and I was bullied for how I looked, and all that and I rarely stood up for myself, so that’s the Sugar,” she said. “From middle school to high school to college, I became more bolder, so that’s the spice side, the bold side. So, I thought it would be cool to share both my personalities with my friends and followers.” “Sugar & Spice Nail Polish Collection by Sasha Anne™” is a product that appeals to young and older consumers alike. “A good family friend, I believe she’s around 65 and she wears the red nail polish and loves it,” said Sasha Anne. “She says she haven’t worn a red polish on my toes in twenty years and it’s the first time it didn’t chip.”

Sasha Anne will be featured in an upcoming episode of Suzanne De Laurentiis’ “Very Frightening Tales” and is very excited about it, after playing the part of Audrey, in “Little Shop of Horrors“ in middle school. “I’m happy to be getting into acting and singing again,” she explained, who admires actresses Sofia Carson and Bella Thorne. “I think it’s so cool what they do.”

Her advice to young Black and Brown people that want to be in the industry? “There’s so many Black and Brown girls in the industry, so I wouldn’t worry about it,” said the entrepreneur, who also worked with Dani Fonseca, who worked with Lady Gaga.  “It’s a very hard industry to get into and you’re have to learn how to take criticism, and it’s very tough, but if you love what you’re doing and it’s fun for you, then it shouldn’t be a problem. Your passion will take over.”
