Estelle for Humanity Presents The 15th Annual Honor Thy Father Awards Dinner June 19th

On June 19^th, 2016, this Sunday, Estelle for Humanity will be presenting its 15^th Annual “Honor Thy Father”Awards Dinner.

Denise Estelle, reported by entertainment, literary and radio icon Ron Brewington, who is also hosting the 15^th “Honor Thy Father” gala, grew up without a father. For the past 15 years, she has worked tirelessly to have the event, which honors the contributions of fathers throughout the community for the outstanding examples of fatherhood in families.  She talks about the shortage of Black fathers in the community, noting the importance of having two parents, and having a strong father figure in the forefront.

This year’s “Honor Thy Father” gala will feature Academy Award Winner Louis Gossett Jr.  as the keynote speaker.  The 15^thAnnual “Honor Thy Father” Awards will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, located at 6161 W. Centinela Avenue,  Culver City, California, 90230. It will begin with a red carpet at 2PM and dinner at 3PM. Tickets are $65 for adults. Tickets for children 4-12 are $35.
