LOS ANGELES CA – I was listening to my favorite Saturday morning radio show, Roland Bynum’s Block Party on KJLH, when I heard “The Promise.”   If you’ve never heard it, take a listen, the lyrics are beautiful.  The song was written by Andrae Crouch and Luther Hanes. Recording artist, writer, arranger, musician, producer, choir director, and Pastor Andrae Crouch made his transition on January 8, 2015 at the age of 72.   During his illustrious career he received 7 Grammys, 4 GMA Dove Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and numerous other awards.  He collaborated with other recording artists including his twin sister Sandra.  How fortunate we are to have his recordings as a reminder of his musical and gospel greatness.

May you rest in eternal peace Pastor Andrae Crouch.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015 there will be a public viewing from 4pm – 6pm at West Angeles Church of God In Christ, 3045 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles CA with a tribute concert at 7pm.  Wednesday January 21 a celebration of life will begin with a viewing at 10am and funeral service at 11am at WACOGIC.  Cards and letters may be sent to the church to the attention of Mauri Jones.  In lieu of flowers the family request that tax deductible donations be sent to the Andrae Crouch Memorial Fund, c/o New Christ Memorial Church, 13333 Vaughn, Pacoima, CA  91340.
