Yohan Blake, brother of Los Angeles Publicist Charmaine Blake Earns Olympic Silver

Los Angeles Publicist Charmaine Blake, known for being a high profile publicist in fashion and music, is a proud lady these days. Her brother, Yohan Blake, nicknamed “The Beast” for his prowess in track and field, won the silver medal in the Men’s 100 meter final in the 2012 London Olympics on Sunday, August 5.  Yohan qualified for the final, winning the semi-final heat with an impressive time of 9.85. “God has been good to me,” said Yohan Blake in an interview after his semi-final heat. He ultimately lost to his countryman, Usain Bolt, who had a time of 9.63,  but was a proud winner, garnering the silver with a time of 9.73.  He, along with Bolt, displayed the Jamaican flag with a tremendous amount of pride. American sprinter Justin Gatlin won a bronze medal in the competition with a time of 9.79.
